XXL magazine has published its annual Freshmen Class issue which class consists of upcoming rappers who are said to make their mark on the year ahead. This year’s class is made up of Meek Mill, Big K.R.I.T, Cyhi The Prince, Lil Twist, Yelawolf, Fred the Godson, Mac Miller, YG, Lil B, Kendrick Lamar and Diggy Simmons. Every month on HI MY NAME IS HIP HOP we will showcase one of the rappers in the 2011 class, beginning with Mac Miller.
Mac Miller
Mac Miller is a 19 year old rapper from Pittsburgh Pennsylvania. This young rapper is signed to the same record label as home state native Wiz Khalifa. In the past two years the kid has dropped 4 mixtapes including Jukebox, High Life, K.I.D.S and the most recent Best Day Ever, which was released on 11 March 2011 and features the single “Donald Trump”.
